FELIX PASTORIUS: ELECTRIC BASS
Making music comes natural to thirtysomething-year-old Felix Pastorius. Music is a family tradition: Felix’s grandfather, John Francis Pastorius II, affectionately referred to as “Jack,” was a stand-up jazz drummer, who ‘sang while he swang’. Following in his footsteps, one of Jack’s three sons, and Felix’s dad, John Francis Pastorius III, affectionately referred to as “Jaco,” took up the drums and later switched to bass. Young Felix spent most his life in Florida, living in a house full of instruments. While studying them all, he landed on the bass…or maybe it landed on him. He’s earned his place, learned to navigate, and he’s here to take you for a ride. He is affectionately referred to as “Felix.”
JORDAN PERLSON: DRUMS
Jordan Perlson was born in the suburbs of Philadelphia, where he began drumming at the age of 10. Jordan studied privately with numerous teachers throughout his childhood, but it was not until he began studying with famed drummer Joe Morello (Dave Brubeck Quartet), at the age of 17, did he really begin to develop his prodigious technique and personal sound.
Jordan has shared the stage with David Liebman, Snarky Puppy, Gary Burton, Chris Potter, Hiromi, Greg Osby, Cuong Vu, Henry Hey, Donny McCaslin, Chris Cheek, and many others. Jordan toured with the famed Off-Broadway show, Blue Man Group, and he currently tours the world with the internationally acclaimed singer/songwriter Becca Stevens.
